Is Montessori good for a very active child?
Usually yes — Montessori classrooms allow movement all morning, and children choose both their work and where to do it, which suits an active child better than a desk does.
It is one of the most common worries and it is generally the wrong way round. Nothing about a Montessori room asks a three-year-old to sit still through a lesson they did not choose. Children work on mats on the floor, at tables, standing at a shelf, and move between activities as they finish them.
In practice the children who find a Montessori room hardest are often the ones who have already learned to wait to be told what to do next.
That said, no website can assess your child. Bring them on the tour and watch them in the room.
