The easiest way to try the school
Three optional summer sessions follow the 180-day academic year. They are how most families new to Mills find out whether it suits their child — a few weeks rather than a year, in the same room with the same teachers — and they are also why families who need continuous care do not hit a cliff in June.
What is different about this room
- A few weeks instead of a yearSummer is the lowest-commitment way into Mills. You enroll for a session, not a school year, in the same room with the same teachers your child would have in September — and if it is not right, you have lost a few weeks, not a year.
- Optional, and separately enrolledSummer is not assumed in your tuition. There is a separate summer enrollment application, so families take one, two, all three, or none.
- A lighter shape to the daySummer keeps the rhythm and the room children already know, with more outdoor time and more of the messy, hands-on work that a packed academic year has less room for.
- The same hoursExtended-day coverage from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm continues through the summer sessions, which is the whole point for working families.

What parents ask about summer sessions

- Do we have to enroll for all three sessions?No. The three sessions are enrolled separately — take one, two or all three. Many families new to Mills take a single session first.

A Montessori room at 10 am tells you more in twenty minutes than any website can. Tours run during the school day, year-round.
